NOA-TV HISTORY and FUNDING: New Orleans Access Television, Inc. is a non-profit 501©(3) corporation, established to manage access television on the Cox Cable system. The NOA-TV, Inc. oversees media production, training, programming, and cablecasting. This opportunity was provided by the City of New Orleans pursuant to a franchise agreement with Cox Communications, which provides funding and channels to support NOA-TV, Inc. NOA-TV MISSION: NOA-TV exists to encourage, create and produce quality programming, which serve the needs of the New Orleans community. It is a goal of NOA-TV to improve the economic, cultural, and social diversity of the city, and to provide media access for a variety of community/social perspectives. NOA-TV is designed to teach technical, creative, and critical thinking skills, to create opportunities for economic development, and to provide governmental and educational information for its viewership.
